Johnathan Sloss has recently joined Magic Valley Electric Cooperative (MVEC) as its Business Development Representative.  He is now the contact person for Key Accounts and new commercial development activities, and is also tasked with overseeing MVEC’s distributed generation program of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind.

As well, Johnathan Sloss will be managing the various MVEC rebate programs, including incentives for builders who participate in the BUILT TO SAVE® program which provides third-party verification that a home is built to above-code standards.  Homes in the program are certified as  high-performance homes, verified to use less energy and save homeowners money over a similar home built to minimum code requirements.

Johnathan Sloss received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from the University of Texas- Pan American.  He brings with him extensive heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) knowledge from his previous position at Lennox where he was the Store Manager with responsibilities that included working with local access dealers and building brand awareness for the company throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

Visit www.magicvalley.coop for more information—and also to welcome Johnathan Sloss as MVEC’s newest Business Development representative. You may contact him at: (956) 289-4055 or jsloss@magicvalley.coop

Magic Valley Electric Cooperative was founded in 1937 by a small group of farmers in the Rio Grande Valley, and today has more than 5,300 miles of power lines serving more than 110,000 members, providing them with safe, affordable, and reliable electric power.
The Cooperative continues to provide the latest in technology to its members as evidenced by the introduction of “MVEC Connect” which went live in June of this year. MVEC’s Connect Portal offers a dynamic online and mobile experience that makes energy management easy and convenient for the Co-op’s members.
