2026 South Texas Builders Show Delivers a Day of Connections, Education & Opportunity
The third annual South Texas Builders Show continued to demonstrate why it is one of the Rio Grande Valley’s premier events for the residential construction industry. Held on Saturday, June 20, at the McAllen Convention Center, the one-day event brought together builders, contractors, remodelers, suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers from across South Texas for a full day of networking, education, and discovering the latest products and services.
Designed to help industry professionals and DIY buyers make valuable connections, the Show gave attendees the opportunity to meet face-to-face with companies representing virtually every segment of residential construction. From building materials and equipment to energy-efficient products and specialized services, visitors found a wide range of solutions—all in one convenient location.
Education was also an important part of the day’s activities. Randy Plumlee of SPEER(South-Central Partnership for Energy Efficiency as a Resource) presented two informative sessions covering IECC compliance options for today’s homebuilders and the importance of proper HVAC and insulation installation to improve comfort, energy performance, and reduce costly callbacks.
The excitement continued throughout the day as exhibitors awarded more than 50 valuable giveaway prizes to attendees who registered at their booths. One lucky attendee took home theShow’s $500 Cash Card Grand Prize.
Special thanks go to this year’s sponsors–Materiales El Valle, AEP Texas, BUILT TOSAVE®, and RGV New Homes Guide–for helping make the event a success. Materiales ElValle also provided breakfast and lunch for exhibitors, contributing to the welcoming atmosphere that has become a hallmark of the Show.
