Randy Plumlee, IECC, HERS, RESNET QAD, LEED GR, LEEDQAD, was recently appointed as the new South-central Partnership for Energy Efficiency as a Resource (SPEER)Energy Code Program Manager.

Randy, a native of NorthTexas, has over 25 years of experience in the fields of energy efficiency and sustainable building practices.

After earning an AAS degree in Residential Building Performance and receiving his International Energy Conservation Code (IECC)and RESNET Home Energy Rating System (HERS) certifications, he worked as a Comfort Specialist doing energy audits, energy modeling, and field inspections for one of the largest third-party energy raters in North Texas. In the following years, Randy continued to expand his knowledge of the industry, earning additional certifications in above-code programs.

SPEER is a non-profit regional (Texas and Oklahoma) energy efficiency organization whose goal is to facilitate and accelerate the adoption of advanced building systems and energy-efficient products and services by providing training and other resources to building industry professionals.
