Training Tomorrow’s Builders, Today: STC Connects Students with Industry
South Texas College’s Construction Supervision Program recently hosted a Construction Trades Expo at its Technology Campus in McAllen, Texas, on March 26. The event featured exhibits from local construction professionals who shared their knowledge and expertise with students enrolled in the program.
The Construction Supervision Program at STC is designed to expand and enhance educational opportunities for students. Its mission is to train students not only to provide for their families but also to positively impact the growth of the Rio Grande Valley. The program is committed to transforming the construction industry one student at a time—empowering them to succeed whether they work for others or run their own projects.

The core mission of the Expo is to promote the trades and reinforce STC’s commitment to preparing students with the hands-on skills and knowledge they need to build successful careers. At the heart of the program is its guiding motto: “We are changing the face of construction, one student at a time.” This passion fuels the program’s daily efforts to provide students with the best possible education and career opportunities.
STC also offers heartfelt thanks to all its partners for their continued support through sponsorships and scholarships. As the college enters scholarship season, it invites anyone interested in supporting its mission to consider contributing to the scholarship fund to help expand educational access for future builders.
