AEP Texas High-Performance Homes Program Awards Five Local Builders
AEP Texas honors the top 2024 performers in its High-Performance Homes Program. These builders are recognized for their excellence in energy-efficient construction in the Rio Grande Valley.
In 2024, AEP Texas celebrated five Rio Grande Valley builders for their dedication to energy-efficient construction through the AEP Texas High-Performance Homes Program. These builders were recognized for creating homes that save energy, enhance comfort, and ensure durable construction. Each home was verified by a licensed Home Energy Rater to meet AEP Texas’ strict program standards.
The program offers financial incentives to builders who exceed required kWh savings by at least 5%. To qualify, builders must install 15.2 SEER2 air conditioning systems, quality insulation, and other energy-efficient features. Additional incentives are available for advanced options like heat pump water heaters, EV chargers, ENERGY STAR® smart thermostats, and more.
